BILL HOLDERMAN (Screenplay by / Producer) is an independent producer and screenwriter. For the last 14 years as Robert Redford’s producing partner at Wildwood Enterprises, Holderman has carried forward Redford’s long legacy of making entertaining films of substance and has guided Wildwood and Redford to some of the most productive years in the company’s storied 46-year history. Holderman has proven effective at pushing the creative boundaries through shepherding a broad spectrum of interesting projects, ranging from the critically acclaimed 2013 film, All Is Lost, directed by Oscar® nominee JC Chandor, to guiding Redford to star in his first ever comic book movie, the 2014 blockbuster hit, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, directed by the Russo brothers. Additionally, Holderman is producing a BBC/PBS multi-part music documentary, executive-produced by T Bone Burnett, Jack White and Robert Redford.
Holderman’s previous film producing credits include: The Company You Keep, released by Sony Classics in Spring 2013, directed by Redford and starring an incredible ensemble cast, including Robert Redford, Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Nick Nolte, Susan Sarandon, Chris Cooper, Terrence Howard, Stanley Tucci, Anna Kendrick, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Elliott and Brit Marling; The Conspirator, released by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions in 2010, directed by Robert Redford and starring James McAvoy, Robin Wright, Tom Wilkinson and Kevin Kline; and the 2007 film, Lions for Lambs, starring Robert Redford, Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep and Andrew Garfield, in his first major theatrical release.
Over the course of his career, Holderman has had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented people in the entertainment industry. As part of the Sundance family, Holderman has had the honor and privilege of attending the famed Sundance Filmmakers Labs and is a consistent panelist at the annual Sundance Producers Summit. In addition to the projects listed above, Holderman has worked on such films as: The Motorcycle Diaries (BAFTA winner), directed by Walter Salles; Spy Game, directed by Tony Scott; The Last Castle, directed by Rod Lurie; An Unfinished Life, directed by Lasse Hallström; and The Clearing, directed by Pieter Jan Brugge.
